About the Game
Undercover Mr. White is a social deduction and bluffing game, perfect for livening up any party or social gathering. It's played with a single phone, and the goal is to uncover the secret roles of other players. Each player receives a secret word, except for the Undercovers (who get a similar but not identical one) and Mr. White (who gets none). The fun lies in giving clever clues to prove you're a Civilian without revealing the secret word to Mr. White!

How to Play
Playing Undercover Mr. White is simple. Here are the basic steps:
- Game Setup: The first player (the "master") sets up the game by choosing the total number of players, the number of Undercovers, the number of Mr. Whites, and advanced options like the voting mode.
- Role Distribution: Each player takes a turn passing the phone to the next to secretly discover their role and associated word. The possible roles are:
- Civilian: Receives the main secret word. The goal is to eliminate all Undercovers and Mr. Whites.
- Undercover: Receives a slightly different word from the Civilians. The goal is to blend in with the Civilians and survive until the end.
- Mr. White: Receives no word. The goal is to avoid being discovered and, if accused, guess the Civilians' secret word to win. It's possible to set rules so that the first or even the first two players cannot be Mr. White.
- The Clue Round: Starting with the first player, everyone says a single word as a clue. The clue should be specific enough to prove you know the word, but not so obvious as to reveal it to Mr. White.
- The Vote: After everyone has given their clue, a discussion opens to decide who to eliminate. Voting can happen in two ways:
- Real-life vote: faster, players openly declare who they are voting for.
- Anonymous vote: the phone is passed around for secret voting, for an experience with more bluffing.
- Elimination and Mr. White's Guess: The eliminated person reveals their role.
- If the eliminated player is a Civilian or an Undercover, the game continues with a new round (if winning conditions have not yet been met).
- If the eliminated player is Mr. White, they have one last chance: they must try to guess the Civilians' secret word. If they guess correctly, they win. Otherwise, they are eliminated, and the game continues.
- Winning Conditions:
- Civilians win if they successfully eliminate all Undercovers and all Mr. Whites.
- Undercovers win if at least one of them survives until the end of the game.
- Mr. White wins if they survive until the end (when only they and one other player remain) or if, upon being eliminated, they guess the Civilians' secret word.
- Undercovers and Mr. White can win together if the Civilians are eliminated and they remain in the game.
